Figthing Rams Band

RHS Band Info.

 

Fighting Rams Marching Band:

 When participating in Fighting Rams Marching band you get the opportunity to work with others. Marching Band takes some multi-tasking, you aren't only playing music, thinking about dynamics, and rhythms, but you're also having to think about roll-stepping, how to march in an effective way, and where your next place is. Fighting Rams Marching Band goes to marching competitions, and parade competions during the first symester.

 

RHS Concert Band:

When participating in RHS Concert Band you will get the chance to play music with others, but in this time of the band-season, there shouldn't be any marching. Concert band (self-explanatory) is specifically for concerts. Concert Band also goes to competitions, we compete against other schools, and we get ranked with a certain score. If you get a high enough score at regionals, you then get to move on to state. You get the opportunity to also try for solos and ensembles.

 

RHS Jazz Band:

Riverton High School also has Jazz Band during the basketball season. In Jazz Band you get the opportunity to work after-school as well, and play at a few basketball games. There is also a Jazz Festival. You don't automatically get into Jazz Band when joining band, so if you would like to join you will need to contact one of our directors.
